‘Broad City’ Star Ilana Glazer Secretly Got Married
Ilana Glazer, best known for co-creating and starring in Comedy Central's Broad City, done pulled a Penn Badgley and married her longtime love with little public fanfare — as in, it happened in a small ceremony at New York's City Hall last month.
Glazer's husband is David Rooklin, a blond scientist who was first mentioned as the Rough Night actress's boyfriend in a June 2014 New Yorker profile, which described Rooklin as "a trim clean-cut white man in his thirties, with glasses," who does "postdoctoral work in molecular modelling."
But here are Rooklin and Glazer well over a year before that, in April 2013, at an Inside Amy Schumer premiere screening with SNL's Sasheer Zamata, Eliot Glazer (Ilana's brother and fellow comedian) and actor Michael Torpey.
Phoebe Robinson, comedian and cohost of the Two Dope Queens podcast, offered Glazer "belated congrats" on their nuptials yesterday (March 13), suggesting Glazer and Rooklin possibly had a more festive celebration this week than the February vows exchange first reported by Metro. Or she just wanted to honor their union as "relationship goals"; either way the newlyweds look serene and happy in a photo taken by director Chioke Nassor.
