Mother Monster is ready to give birth. Her due date? October 21.

Lady Gaga's fifth studio album, Joanne, drops next month, the pop star revealed during an interview on Beats 1 with Zane Lowe on September 15.

Calling in to the radio station from the studio, where she was busy "mixing and mastering" the record, the singer-songwriter debuted the name of the album, as well as shared that it will contain 11 songs, while the deluxe version will likely feature 14 (but "don't quote [her] on that!").

As for the record's title, the LP is named for Joanne Stefani Germanotta, Gaga's aunt (from whom she got her middle name) who passed away from Lupus before she ever got to meet her. (In fact, Gaga was born over a decade after Germanotta's tragic passing.)

"To me the album [name], Joanne, was in tribute to my father's sister who died when she was 19. He was younger than her and she was very sick with Lupus," the artist told Lowe. "The death of her in his family and in his life... it really left a scar and wound that never healed."

Referring to Joanne as the "woman of [her] past who is helping [her] bring more of [her] honest woman self into the future," as well as the "real true heart and soul of the record," Gaga described how the upcoming album is a testament to the strength of her family.

"As I returned to my home life and spending time with my friends and hanging out with my family and getting out of the mainstream limelight for a minute, what I realized is it's the experiences of our families and our challenges and our toughness that make us who we are," she continued. "It's everything about Joanne. It's all the toughness of the pain that happened as a result of losing her that made us all strong and made us all who we are."

And following the narrative of getting back to the basics of family and self, the cover art for the album, which Gaga shared on Twitter today, shows a whole new side of a musician made iconic for her over-the-top artistry and avant garde visuals.

She was, truly, born this way. See below:
