San Angelo Symphony with Brandie Phillips
The San Angelo Symphony is excited to announce the Friday, February 3rd, concert, Symphony Showcase in the Round, featuring violinist, Brandie Phillips.
The upcoming event is developed around two merged concert concepts that results in a symphonic celebration in the round. The performance features works that spotlight the San Angelo Symphony strings, woodwinds, and brass. Four principal symphony orchestra musicians will be featured throughout the evening and their special guest artist, Brandie Phillips, will perform a show-stopping concerto.
Ms. Phillips, a native of San Angelo, is currently the Assistant Concertmaster for the Dallas Opera Orchestra and frequently performs with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. As an avid motivator of exposing young children to classical music, Brandie maintains a private studio where she teaches students of all ages.
The San Angelo Symphony has partnered with Goodfellow Air Force Base to be the Symphony in the Community guest at the February concert. This organization serves the Concho Valley by providing diverse programming and educational offerings that reach audiences of all ages and backgrounds. This program encourages appreciation of music by making the performance more widely available to all in the community. The symphony is honored to welcome the men and women of our military at the performance as guests.
