A Guy in Amarillo Strapped a Giant Fan to His Back and Went Skiing
How did you keep yourself entertained on your snow days? I bet it didn't involve strapping a giant propeller on your back and putting on some snow skis.
I came across this video on YouTube of a guy attempting to do just that.
First, I'm impressed. Second, can you imagine standing with your morning cup of coffee while looking out through a window and seeing this guy whizzing by?
I need this type of excitement in my neighborhood.
I did some digging, and it turns out that PPG stands for powered paragliding. In the video, it looks like our daredevil decided to just take the paramotor (big fan) and use that to propel himself down the street while on skis.
Genius. Pure Genius.
Honestly, I'm jealous. It looks like a lot of fun. It would have made checking the mail at my house a little bit easier earlier this week.
The channel this was uploaded to on YouTube has several other videos of PPG excursions in our area. Check them out. The views are incredible, and I think I'm convinced that I need one of these things in my life.
One of my favorite shots in all of the videos on the channel is one where he is right above some clouds, gliding along. That was the moment I started scheming on how I was going to con my wife into letting me get one.
Another great clip is the coyote by Floating Mesa.
Here's a link to his YouTube channel.
