A Star Is Born may not be coming to theaters until September 2018, but today we got our first look at the movie's two leads: Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.

It'll be Gaga's first lead role on the big screen, following two smaller parts in 2013's Machete Kills and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and her Golden Globe–winning work on American Horror Story: Hotel.

She'll also be performing under her real name, Stefani Germanotta. Perhaps this time she's got an Oscar on her mind?

Gaga headlined Coachella this weekend, giving fans a hit-laden set and even debuting a new song, "The Cure." But this week, she'll put on an entirely different kind of show as she and Cooper will perform country-tinged tunes for scenes that will appear in the upcoming movie.

Fans can come out and see Gaga and Cooper perform (tickets are only $10). Here's the relevant info:

The scenes for these days will portray a Country Western music concert.  All you Monsters that can attend should get decked out in your most comfortable denim & boots, throw on a Stetson (leave those pink Joanne hats at home) and come out to show your support! Tickets are just $10, with all proceeds going directly to the Born This Way Foundation.

Warner Bros. is producing the film, and in addition that first image above, the studio also released the official synopsis:

Cooper plays Jackson Maine, a country music star who is on the brink of decline when he discovers a talented unknown named Ally (Germanotta). As the two begin a passionate love affair, Jack coaxes Ally into the spotlight, catapulting her to stardom. But as Ally’s career quickly eclipses his own, Jack finds it increasingly hard to handle his fading glory.

This will be the fourth version of A Star Is Born to hit screens, but the first set in the country music world.

The most recent telling, in 1976, featured Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. Before that, Judy Garland played the role Gaga will be taking over. The original 1937 version starred Janet Gaynor, and that film is the story all other versions have been based on.
