Amanda Bynes in Mental Health Rehabilitation Center After Suffering Relapse (REPORT)
Amanda Bynes is reportedly receiving treatment in a mental health rehabilitation facility after suffering a relapse.
TMZ reports the actress is working with mental health professionals and addiction counselors after checking into an L.A.-area center back in January. The tabloid writes that her check-in was "the end result of a backslide that ... started months earlier."
"We're told the pressure of being back in the public eye, plus auditioning in Hollywood again ... was just too much too soon for Amanda," TMZ reports, adding she is "getting treatment for drug addiction along with mental health issues."
In her late 2018 PAPER magazine cover story, Bynes shared that seeing herself dressed as a boy in the 2006 comedy She's the Man sent her into "deep depression." She also revealed she was, at the time, four years sober.
Since 2014, Bynes, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, has been under the conservatorship of a mental health professional hired by her parents.
