It's the moment we all knew would happen eventually -- and, based on the immediacy of the news cycle and when late night shows are actually filmed, it's the moment most of us also knew was happening yesterday -- but 'Daily Show' host Jon Stewart has finally announced his retirement after seventeen years at the news desk. Stewart's show films in the late evenings in New York City, so the news that he had announced his imminent retirement during a taping last night hit the wire many hours before the show actually aired.

As part of a segment he likes to call “Fifty Accents,” host Jimmy Fallon set Dornan up with a “randomly chosen” (sure) accent and a passage from the E.L. James book that became a “global phenomenon.” It's both raunchy and weird, but at least it shows off a little bit of Dornan's range in a way that's (mostly) PG.

Thank goodness for iPad apps. On last night's 'Tonight Show,' host Jimmy Fallon -- who grows more California by the minute, as the show has temporarily relocated to the West Coast -- and guest Will Smith decided to finally give the people what they want: rapping. Well, sort of.

Celebrities have feelings, too. Even when you think you're just talking random smack about them in the wide world of the internet (web?), you're still talking random smack about real people. If you're tweeting mean stuff? They might see it. And it might hurt them.

It was inevitable. After less than a year on the air, the Jimmy Fallon-starring 'The Tonight Show' has finally found something to supercut: its own weirdly engaging 'Ew!' talk show. Fallon's take on a teen girl talk show (like all teen girl talk shows, it takes place in a basement and doesn't appear to be broadcast to anyone) explores everything that is particularly gross -- er, "ew" -- to the teens these days. What's gross? Everything. Ew!

It's Water War! Jimmy Fallon's most bizarre and icy cold game yet! A game of chance, and um, hydration, Water War pits the 'Tonight Show' host against an especially down-for-whatever guest (after all, what sort of person would be okay with having water poured all over them on national television? a cool one, that's who!) in a battle to see who can get more soaking, sopping wet. That's the aim of the game, right? No? Then 'Blackhat' star Chris Hemsworth lost? What kind of world is this?!

Like many of us, 'Tonight Show' host Jimmy Fallon appears to believe that Hollywood superstar Bradley Cooper can do anything -- and, based on his impressive resume of stage and screen roles and accolades, the guy can't be too off the mark. But there is one that Cooper isn't so great at: music. It's sort of surprising, really, and even the overly solicitous Fallon was a little dumbstruck when Cooper admitted that his musical talents are minimal on last night's show.

No, you have not gone crazy--Oprah Winfrey and Jimmy Fallon never starred in a soap opera, certainly not one together--but let's not let that small factoid get in the way of a good (if wholly imaginary and also extremely weird) sketch.

Often, particularly colorful characters take to the various late shows to flex the full range of their unique spirit, just for funsies. Joaquin Phoenix looked to be going down that precise path on last night's 'Late Show,' actively imitating himself learning yoga, calling his more personal bits "Julio Igelasias," and just generally having a good time. Host David Letterman looked nervous, but Phoenix looked relaxed, and that might be why Phoenix's good-time appearance took a serious turn when the 'Inherent Vice' star announced his engagement on air.

For his latest round of "Celebrities Read Mean Tweets," Jimmy Kimmel trotted out his most star-studded line-up of celebs yet, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Lena Dunham, Gerard Butler, Ty Burrell, Bob Newhart, Britney Spears, Geena Davis, Chris Pratt, Chloe Grace Moretz, Scott Foley, Michael Chiklis, Ted Danson (Ted Danson? who tweets mean things about Ted Danson?), John Stamos, Lisa Kudrow, and Adam Sandler. But he also rounded up the meanest collection of, well, #meantweets ever. These tweets are really mean, you guys!
