Cara Delevingne opened up about her relationship with girlfriend Ashley Benson for the first time ever, revealing the two have been dating for over a year.

After months of rumors and speculation, the supermodel made her romance with the Pretty Little Liars star official by posting a steamy video of them kissing on Instagram. She then further confirmed it when she gave her first interview on their relationship during an appearance at the TrevorLIVE Gala in New York on Monday (June 17).

On the red carpet, Delevingne revealed the two important reasons why she and Benson decided to go public now. "I don't know because it is Pride, it's been 50 years since Stonewall happened and I don't know," she explained to E! News. "It's been just about our one year anniversary so, why not?"

When the reporter asked if this meant they're Instagram official, Delevingne replied, “Sure, I don’t like the official thing, but it’s a little something."

The 26-year-old also seemingly paid tribute to Benson during her heartfelt gala speech. “I also have another very special woman in this room to thank and you know who you are," Delevingne said.

“She is one of the people that helped me love myself when I needed it most and I really needed it. She showed me what real love is and showed me how to accept it, which was a lot harder than I thought," she continued, before revealing Benson's adorable pet name. "I love you, Sprinkles.”
