How man came to be has long been a subject of debate, with some believing we were created by God, others taking an evolutionary point of view, and a third group believing both God and evolution are responsible for our existence. So which argument is most popular?

According to a new Gallup poll of 1,012 adults, 46 percent believe God created humans in their present form within the last 10,000 or so years (i.e. Creationism). Fifteen percent believe humans evolved over millions of years and God had no part in the process (evolution), and 32 percent believe humans evolved but with God’s guidance (intelligent design).

These percentages have basically remained the same since Gallup began asking the question in 1982.
