Forty-nine people died in the Orlando nightclub shooting, but one man single-handedly prevented more deaths.

Imran Yousuf, 24, is a bouncer at Pulse, where the shootings occurred, and he opened a door in a back hallway that enabled scores of people to escape the building.

And I'm screaming 'Open the door! Open the door!' And no one is moving because they are scared. There was only one choice. Either we all stay there and we all die, or I could take the chance, and I jumped over to open that latch and we got everyone that we can out of there."

Yousuf knows about being caught in gunfire. He was a Marine who served in Afghanistan. He estimates that somewhere between 60-70 people made it out after he opened the door, but "I wish I could have saved more to be honest," he said while getting choked up. "There are a lot of people that are dead ...there are a lot of people that are dead."

Forty-nine people died in the shooting that has stunned the world, with many showing signs of support for the victims and the city of Orlando.
