The final season of Game of Thrones left fans with a number of unanswered questions (not to mention all out protest); however, during a comic convention in Munich, Germany Lena Headey, who played Cersei Lannister in the show, revealed a deleted scene that could have changed the whole trajectory of her character.

“We shot a scene that never made it into season 7, which was where I lose the baby. And it was a really traumatic, great moment for Cersei, and it never made it in,” she said. “And I kind of loved doing that because I thought it would have served her differently.”

So, because the scene didn't ever make it into the show, it proves that Cersei was, indeed, pregnant during the final season, discrediting theories that she was faking the pregnancy to lure Jaime back to her and keeping Euron Greyjoy as her puppet.

In a recent interview with The Guardian, Headey discussed Cersei's death — admitting she was a bit disappointed in her character's ultimate fate.

“Obviously, you dream of your death,” she said. “You could go in any way on that show. So I was kind of gutted. But I just think they couldn’t have pleased everyone. No matter what they did, I think there was going to be some big comedown from the climb.”
