This is not directed at people who have already gotten their COVID shot. This is for those who have not. You need some tough love. Or maybe you just need to get tough. Get your damn shot!

I get it. You may have a fear of vaccines. You take a lot of stock in the FDA (since when have people started doing that) and the COVID shot is just an emergency use vaccine. But world wide resources, billions of dollars and the planet's best doctors and researchers who are much smarter than me have developed and tested the vaccines.

You think it is your right to not get the vaccine and I respect that. But this is not about you. This is about others. We do not want to see businesses close again. That is extreme, but it could happen. COVID cases are starting to rise again here in Texas.

It is not good to be starting and stopping our economy. Other countries have done that during the pandemic and the results have not been good. It is like starting and cutting off your car engine over and over. That is not good for your car and it's not good for businesses.

I have heard stories of people who have not been vaccinated who are getting sick here recently. The 4th of July weekend looks like it could have been a super spreader event in some places.

I am hearing people who were not getting vaccinated and had hesitation are now getting vaccinated because family members and people they know are getting sick. Sometimes it takes someone you know to get sick to convince people to get vaccinated.

Now, if you feel you have a condition that should keep you from getting a COVID vaccination, please talk with a medical professional. I am not a professional and do not want to give medical advice. So, in all seriousness do not take my advice, please consult with your doctor before you decide to take any vaccination.

We would like to hear your thoughts and opinion as well. Tell us on Facebook or chat with us on our station app.
