Fall Cruise Night Was a Huge Success Because of These Cars LOOK
Classic Cars, Police Support, and Family Fun – A Night to Remember
This year's Accurate Air Solutions Fall 2024 Cruise Night was a huge success because of all the "Classic Car Owners" and the "Abilene Police Department" (APD), who worked hard to ensure families had a great time. The APD went above and beyond to make this what it is: a "CRUISE!" I saw more classic rides than I've ever seen before.
Generations Unite: Kids and Teens in Awe of Timeless Rides
This was even more fun because I got to hang out with listeners, family, and friends. One of my family friends is 16-year-old Addison, who told me she loved all the purple cars and trucks, and there were several this year. I got to interview more young people from ages 7 to 17, who watched the cruise in amazement at cars these kids did not even know existed.

A Shout Out to APD: Keeping Cruise Night Safe and Fun
Again, I must thank the Abilene Police Department (APD) for ensuring we stayed safe and had fun. After all, Cruise Night was started because of the awesome Abilene Police Department, Rodney the Robot, and Safety City. Today the APD continues to educate and support all the children throughout West Texas (as seen below).
The Roots of Cruise Night From Rodney the Robot to Safety City
In the early 1980s, our radio stations got together and formed Cruise Night to raise money for Safety City, a place where our young schoolchildren learn all about pedestrian, bicycle, and automotive safety when they drive mini-go-carts. Rodney the Robot teaches our kids about the dangers of drugs and so much more.
Classic Cars and Community: A Night Fueled by Memories and Sponsors
Cruise Night was a huge success this year, all because of you, who came out to support it, as well as the sponsors like Accurate Air Solutions, Freak Show Performance Outlaw Automotive, Abilene Powder Coating, First Choice Motors, Howdy Doodie Septic & Grease, and Sonic Drive-In.
Family, Friends, and Timeless Rides: The Spirit of Fall Cruise Night
I believe that this Fall Cruise Night was very inspiring to watch parents and grandparents spending time with their young children and grandchildren and sharing the memories of the classic cars, trucks, and vans that formed their lives when they were young.
Here are photos of the vehicles that cruised or "Show-ed" up at one of the many parking lots to display their classic ride. Thank you for participating and making it one of the most enjoyable Cruise Nights EVER! Finally, thank you to Sgt. Mason of the Abilene Police Department Traffic Division and all the officers who made Cruise Night fun again.
