Texas Muralist Calina Mishay Johnson To Star In ‘Cal’s Hometown Revival’
A Texas muralist who paints some of the most stunning murals you'll ever see across the Lone Star State will be getting the recognition she deserves when she's featured on Destination America by Discovery.
Deep in the heart of Texas, you'll find the small town of Rule which has produced a rising star in the world of public art. Calina Mishay Johnson, who has been transforming blank walls across Texas into breathtaking works of art is now capturing the attention of art lovers across the globe.
Cal has painted many of the murals that you see today in not only Abilene but several other towns across Texas, bringing life to the landscape as she passes through.
How I Met Cal
I met Cal on my weekly show called The Weekend Buzz. I had featured Abilene entrepreneur Jimmy Fuentes who brought his hometown friend Cal along to talk about some of the murals she had painted across Abilene. Both are from the small town of Rule, Texas.
The two had just come from shooting some footage for an upcoming new show on Destination America by Discovery called Cal's Hometown Revival that would feature the amazing murals that Cal has painted across the Lone Star State.
I had an amazing time getting to know Cal and chatting with her and Jimmy about the exciting new things happening in her life, including the new TV show.
Cal's Hometown Revival
Airing on Destination America by Discovery on October 1st, Cal's Hometown Revival will showcase how Cal takes the history of the town she is visiting and then uses that information to create a vibrant work of art.

The show is being produced by Full Strut Media's Brad Clay and Adam Carter with the first episode scheduled to air on October 1st at 7:00 pm (CDT) on Destination America by Discovery.
