Food Sold In Texas H-E-Bs Taken Off Store Shelves

As reported by the US Food & Drug Administration, the food was recalled recently. The release was put out on July 9th, 2024. Per the FDA, the food was removed from shelves due to one major issue: something was found in the product that shouldn't be in it.

The FDA revealed that an unknown foreign item was found in the food itself. In addition, to determine if you believe that you purchased the item in question, it has an use by date of JUL/26/24 and is 48oz.

Where The Product Was Made And What You Should Do If Purchased

Reser’s Fine Foods, the company responsible for the production of the item, sold it at H-E-B and Joe V’s Smart Shop locations. These locations were only in Texas, and was made in a regional facility from the company.

For those who have bought the product, you are encouraged to either return the food back to store where you bought it, or simply just throw it away. In addition, customers that have worries about the recall, you able to call the company's Consumer Inquiries line at 888-223-2127.

No injuries have been reported due to substance in the product, and it's been removed from all store shelves. As this is developing story, we will have more information when it becomes available.
