Three Separate Incidents Involving Guns Reported In Texas Schools
Recently, three schools in the state of Texas had major problems involving weapons on campus. Here's what is known at time of writing.
Three Schools In Texas Report Guns At School
As reported by ABC13 Houston, the three schools in question were around the area of the city of Houston. Two of the situations revealed someone at the school was in possession of a firearm, while the remaining one was suspected.
Bunker Hill Elementary, per ABC13 Houston, was the school where an unidentified individual was reported to have a gun. Students at the school were alleged to have spotted a person on a bike with an unknown weapon. Two schools in the area, previously mentioned Bunker Hill, and another school Frostwood Elementary were secured.
The individual was found by authorities, but no weapon was discovered. Charges are pending for the unknown person at the time of writing.
Weapons Discovered On Students In Two Houston High Schools
Per ABC13 Houston, Galena Park High School revealed that a student was in possession of a firearm. The student, not identified at the time of writing, was not called to the office for the weapon originally. Instead, the student broke a rule on the school's student code of conduct. After law enforcement found the weapon, the student is now facing further punishment.
Sam Rayburn High School was the other school reporting an incident with a gun. The principal of the school was able to send an alert about a student on the campus who had a gun. Thanks to the alert, authorities were able to arrest the student. The unnamed student was taken away from the campus, suspended for the year, and may face charges for their actions.
