‘The Snowman’ Trailer: Michael Fassbender Hunts a Creepy Cold-Blooded Killer
Michael Fassbender’s serial killer thriller The Snowman is one of our most anticipated movies of the fall, and for good reason. The latest trailer for it gives an extremely creepy Girl with the Dragon Tattoo vibe, as a serial killer re-emerges from hiding with the first fallen snow and embarks on his next killing spree, which turns out to be a lot more than what it looks like on the surface.
Fassbender plays detective Harry Hole (I know, I know) who takes on the case of a missing woman only to find that it may be the work of a killer who does his work according to the weather. He and his new partner Katrine Bratt (Rebecca Ferguson) must look back at old cold cases to try to connect this crime to atrocities of the past, but soon, as these things always do, it becomes personal.
When an elite crime squad’s lead detective (Fassbender) investigates the disappearance of a victim on the first snow of winter, he fears an elusive serial killer may be active again. With the help of a brilliant recruit (Ferguson), the cop must connect decades-old cold cases to the brutal new one if he hopes to outwit this unthinkable evil before the next snowfall.
The Snowman also stars Chloe Sevigny, Val Kilmer, J.K. Simmons, is directed by Tomas Alfredson (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) and hits theaters October 20.
