The world's richest person, Elon Musk, has a shiny new toy after buying Twitter for $44 billion.

Elon Musk

No doubt Musk is a big fan of Texas. He's brought both Tesla and SpaceX to the Lone Star State, and after purchasing Twitter for $44 billion, many Texans, including Gov. Greg Abbott, are asking Musk to move Twitter to Texas as well.

Musk issued a statement (via Twitter, of course):

Meta

Twitter wouldn't be the only social media giant to land in Texas. Meta, formerly known as Facebook, recently announced that they are building an $800 million Hyperscale Data Center in Temple, Texas. This will reportedly bring 100 jobs to the area along with 1,250 construction workers onsite at the peak of the construction.

Twitter

Twitter's headquarters currently resides in San Francisco, California. San Francisco is one of the most expensive cities in the world not only to live in, but to also do business in, and Elon Musk knows that. The cost of doing business in Texas is cheaper, and Musk knows that as well.

Politics

Of course, many believe this is all about politics. Right or wrong, Musk says it's about free speech. Musk's purchase of Twitter has certainly divided opinions once again. Those on the right are ecstatic, while those on the left are deleting their accounts.

So will Elon bring Twitter to Texas? Time will tell, but I wouldn't be surprised!

This $170M Texas Ranch With 65,000 Acres Is a Dog Lover’s Dream Home

Mesa Vista, the 65,000-acre Panhandle ranch, which belonged to oil billionaire T. Boone Pickens until his death three years ago, has been up for sale since 2017. The list of mind-blowing amenities is long, but for the price it's quite a deal!

The property includes its own golf course, a chapel with a memory garden, an airport with a private apartment for the pilot, and a 40-unit kennel, complete with a bronze dog sculpture in front of the building. Pickens, who was an avid hunter and dog lover, told Land Report in 2015Back when I couldn’t afford one bird dog, I had two. When I couldn’t afford two, I had three.”

Let's take a look around this incredible piece of property, which was recently reduced from $250 to $170 million, and see what kind of luxuries you and your furry friends could enjoy!
