Bigger, Bolder, Beaver: World’s Largest Buc-ee’s Coming To Central Texas
Everyone loves Buc-ee's, it just seems to be a fact of life. There's one literally 5 minutes from our station. And it's always interesting to how packed the place is every time you drive by.
Recently, it was announced that a brand new Buc-ee's was going to be built in Tennessee. It was set to be the largest Buc-ee's ever built, taking up over 74,000 square feet.
Which if you look at a regular Buc-ee's seems daunting. But many also questioned, "Why Tennessee? Why not have the biggest location where everything started in Texas?"
Ladies and gentleman, it looks like the minds of Texans and Buc-ee's came together and realized that everything should and must be bigger in Texas. Because the largest Buc-ee's in the world will no longer be in Tennessee.
It'll be right here in Texas.
Their current store in Luling, Texas will be demolished and will be rebuilt to cover...wait for it...75,000 square feet, according to KVUE. It will contain 120 gas pumps as well, and employ 200 people.
Which, my goodness, that's a huge Buc-ee's.
Via a news release, the director of Real Estate at Buc-ee's, Stan Beard was thrilled to have the largest Bucee's in the world to be in Texas: “...Buc-ee’s has grown into an iconic Texas brand that now shares our Texas pride with new stores throughout the Southeast and West,” Beard followed up by saying, “We are humbled to have this opportunity to strengthen our roots in Texas and will continue to exceed our customers’ expectations every chance we get.”
Well, the state slogan is certainly living up to it's name. Are you excited for the new larger Buc-ee's? Let us know via our station app!
