BTS' Jungkook is under police investigation after he was involved in a car accident this weekend.

Soompi reports the 22-year-old singer was driving his car through Seoul’s Yongsan District on Saturday (November 2) when he violated a traffic regulation and crashed into a taxi. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but Jungkook and the taxi driver were later taken to the hospital after sustaining minor injuries like bruising.

In the wake of the accident, he was reportedly questioned by the Seoul police about violating the Road Traffic Act. However, authorities also confirmed Junghook was not driving under the influence at the time of the crash.

The BTS member has since admitted his fault in the incident and an "amicable" settlement was made to the driver, according to an official statement by his management, Big Hit Entertainment.

“The police have not closed this case yet, so we cannot reveal the exact details, but Jungkook was driving his car last week when he had a minor collision with another vehicle due to his own mistake," the company wrote via BBC. "Both the victim and Jungkook did not sustain any major injuries."

The statement continued, "Jungkook admitted that he violated the road Traffic Act immediately after the accident. The scene of the accident was resolved and police questioning was completed according to the due process, and an amicable settlement was made with the victim afterward."

“We once again apologize to the victim, and we also express apologies for causing concern to fans," they added.
