Cher: ‘I’ve Never Been in Love With Cher’
The "Woman's World" singer, who reflected on aging, politics and her storied career as part of an interview with Today's Maria Shriver, admitted she is more than a little critical of herself. And, she said when she looks in the mirror, she doesn't necessarily see a whole lot.
"I see Cher, but I'm never satisfied. I've never been in love with Cher," she said. "She's all right, but I'm not a huge fan. No, I'm not a Cher fan."
Cher: Not so into Cher. Also, here is what Cher thinks about when she thinks about getting older:
"If I put 70 candles on my cake I would blow my brains out."
Cher, whose most recent concert series Cher at the Colosseum wrapped up in Las Vegas in 2011, announced she'll play both the Park Theater at Monte Carlo in Las Vegas and The Theater at MGM National Harbor in Washington D.C. as part of 2017's Classic Cher. And, self-pointed skepticism aside, she insisted in a statement that she'll be ready.
"I plan to make this my best show ever," she said. "I am extremely excited about both of these new theaters — they are state-of-the-art and beautiful,” she says in an official announcement."
