June 21 is the deadline to apply for a ballot by mail in the City's July 2 runoff election. The application must be in the Tom Green County Elections Office by June 21 and cannot be delivered in person once early voting begins June 20.

The voted mail ballot must be received in the elections office by Election Day, July 2. Blank applications for a ballot by mail are available at votetomgreencounty.org under the Election and Polling Information link.

Early voting will be conducted in the Elections office on the first floor of the Edd B. Keyes Building, 113 W. Beauregard Ave. Early voting will be from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. June 20-24, from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. June 25 and 27-28, and 12:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. June 26. Voters will have a choice of voting by paper or electronic ballot during early voting. On Election Day, only electronic ballots will be available.

No candidate won a majority in the May 7 election for police chief and for District 5 City Council member. In the runoff for police chief, Frank Carter is vying with Tim Vasquez. In the District 5 contest, Lane Carter and Elizabeth Grindstaff are seeking election.
