The Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health will present GiRL Power 2013, a program for area girls in 4th – 6th grades and their mothers or other important role models in their life this Saturday from 10 until 2 at the ASU C.J. Davidson Conference Center!
The goal of this non-profit event is to help young girls become healthy women by empowering them to make healthier life choices and believe in themselves.

GiRL Power 2013, which stands for Growing Relationships in Life, will include breakout sessions covering the topics of healthy eating, Internet safety, societal pressures and self-esteem.

GiRL Power 2013 will also include key note speaker, Miss Texas DaNae Couch, speakers Trish Probandt, Haley Hutchinson, and Dr. Flor Modero, with entertainment by the Calico Hearts (two 6th grade girls out of Lubbock, Texas who were finalists on Americas Got
Talent and who performed on the Disney Channel). There will also be exhibits, entertainment, free photos, gift bags, lunch, refreshment and door prizes. Tickets are $7.50 each or $15,00 for a pair.
