Looking through my pantry, my Goldfish are fine. What about yours?

Extremely popular in my house with my daughter, when I heard about this recall of course I was concerned. As with many other parents who give these tasty little crackers to their toddlers and small children for a snack along with many day cares and schools, everyone should be checking these UPC codes and expiration dates. In an announcement on Twitter, Pepperidge Farm issued a statement saying they were voluntarily recalling four varieties of their Goldfish crackers due to the whey powder manufacturers notification of the potential presence of salmonella in the product that was sold to Pepperidge Farms.

So now is the time to check your kitchen pantry to see if you have one of the following varieties of Goldfish crackers:

  • Flavor Blasted Xtra Cheddar
  • Flavor Blased Sour Cream & Onion
  • Goldfish Baked with Whole Grain Xtra Cheddar
  • Goldfish Mix Xtra Cheddar + Pretzel

After looking at our big container of Goldfish our expiration date was off by one day, so our Goldfish are still good! This comes just days after a recall off Ritz Crackers and Swiss Rolls.
