Warmer weather is here, and it's time for fun benefit fundraisers like the Wylie Christian Church (WCC) Market Days on Saturday, July 6th, at 6250 Buffalo Gap Rd. Shopping at Market Days supports WCC youth and other children in our community who need help and are homeless or hungry.

WCC member Pastor Roni Stanton says, "Our church group hosts our monthly Market Days, from 8 am until 3 pm. We are raising funds for our youth programs and numerous outreach programs." They will also have raffles to help raise more money. Below are some photos of what you will find at the Wylie Christian Church Market Days sale.

I have attended many of these church-related sales events, and they are one of my favorite pastimes. Truthfully, "church sales" are where I find some incredible deals, like the guitar purse I use to carry my live on-location broadcast gear and the awesome air fryer I got for my wife.

This extraordinary church event can help you put some cash in your pocket while supporting WCC youth. Set up a booth and sell your goods. Get your spot reserved by contacting Pastor Roni at (325) 691-0400. Donations are also being accepted at the church.

The event collects donations and vendors' fees, and all funds go directly to Vacation Bible School, summer camp funds, a sock ministry to local shelters, school book bags with supplies, and a Christmas party with shoeboxes of gifts for young adults aging out of foster care (BCFS Transition Center).

WCC Market Days benefit church youth activities, summer camps, outreach programs, the Noah Project, and the Salvation Army. If you are a serious shopper, I have the perfect place for you. I'll see you at Market Days.

LOOK: Things from the year you were born that don't exist anymore

The iconic (and at times silly) toys, technologies, and electronics have been usurped since their grand entrance, either by advances in technology or breakthroughs in common sense. See how many things on this list trigger childhood memories—and which ones were here and gone so fast you missed them entirely.
