Midland-Odessa Watches Afar As Dust Storms Rage In Other Areas Of Texas
Dust storms are so typical for the people living in or around Midland-Odessa that they've become the norm. While there is literally sand raining from the sky, to us it's just another Tuesday. I admit, it took me a moment to get used to it when I first moved to the Permian Basin, but I have since gotten used to it.

On Tuesday, West Texas dust hitched a ride on record-breaking wind in some parts of Texas and headed East, thus taking some Texans by surprise.

I have to be 100% honest here, seeing Texans who aren't accustomed to dust storms freak out was kind of comical despite going through something similar not too long ago. One media outlet in Fort Worth posted a time-lapse on TikTok of the dust moving into their area and the video itself was actually kind of impressive. It makes us remember just how crazy it can all be.

Tuesday was filled with countless Facebook, X, and TikTok post about the weather as the rest of Texas appeared to freak out over the occurrence. Meanwhile, the people of West Texas are letting out a collective "ehh".
