Kendrick Lamar and Beyonce Could Be Headlining Coachella 2017
Are Kendrick Lamar and Beyoncé slated to headline Coachella 2017? The rumor is that Coachella co-founder Paul Tollett has already locked in King Kendrick and Queen Bey for the April festival, according to HITS Daily Double.
K. Dot made a surprise appearance at Coachella 2016 during Anderson .Paak's set. Meanwhile, Beyoncé has yet to perform at the famous California festival.
The news is still at the rumor stage, so don't get your hopes up just yet. However, if K. Dot and Beyoncé are indeed headlining Coachella, it will be a gigantic announcement. And you can be sure that tickets are going to be hard to come by if this turns out to be true.
Kendrick may have a big show lined up for 2017, but he's got at least one more notable performance left for 2016. The Compton rapper is set to perform at Art Basel 2016 as part of an exclusive event for American Express card holders. The pop-up performance and live art show will take place this Thursday (Dec. 1) at the Faena Hotel in Miami, Fla. AMEX customers can purchase a ticket to the event for $65.
The upcoming gig will not be the "Alright" MC's first time at the annual Art Basel. Kendrick previously appeared at the modern and contemporary art fair in 2013. That year saw him perform at a private party hosted by Kanye West and visual artist Vanessa Beecroft.
