San Angelo Community Band Concert December 13th
The San Angelo Community Band is offering you a free Christmas concert this Sunday, Dec.13th at the Fort Concho Stables Hall located at 210 Henry O. Flipper St. from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
In order to ensure a safe event seating will be arranged to mirror social distancing rules and masks will be required for all guests. To follow city guidelines, seating will be limited to the first 100 guests.
Bob Bluthardt, Fort Concho site manager said... “We are grateful for the band’s efforts to provide this concert to our community, even under the limitations we must operate. While not a replacement for our annual Christmas at Old Fort Concho event, it will be among several smaller activities we are holding in the month.”
This is only the second concert the community band has offered since last spring due to the ongoing COVID pandemic.
Band Director Constance Kelley, Ph.D., of Angelo State University’s music program said...“Our band members wanted to get together to offer some holiday music and we are thankful this large hall can meet all our health and safety needs,”
The San Angelo Community Band will perform an hour-long program filled with Christmas favorites including a mix of traditional and modern music like “Sleigh Ride,” “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” and “All I want for Christmas Is You.”
