The driver of the Kawasaki motorcycle, a 16-year-old San Angelo resident, was transported to Shannon Medical Center by ambulance for incapacitating injuries and later underwent surgery.

The 19-year-old driver of the 2014 Hyundai Elantra, his 17-year-old female passenger, and their infant son reportedly received non-incapacitating injuries.  All three were transported to Shannon Medical Center by private vehicle.

A preliminary investigation shows the motorcycle was traveling southbound on North Bell Street and the passenger car was eastbound on Preusser at the time of collision.

The Department’s Traffic Section Investigators and Crime Scene Unit responded and Bell Street traffic was diverted from Koberlin to E. Harris Avenue.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet and the occupants of the passenger car were reportedly wearing proper restraints.  The posted speed limit on that section of Bell Street is 40 MPH.
