Top 5 Worst Unsolicited Parenting Tips
Everyone has opinions. It's normal. However, have you noticed that when you are pregnant, or have young children, those opinions morph into unwanted, unsolicited advice? We've put together the top 5 worst parenting tips we've heard:

On Bad Grades
"Don't punish for the bad grades on a report card only praise for the good ones and it will work itself out...negative ghost rider" - Sarah W.
If my parents took this route, I doubt I would have graduated high school or college.

On Swimming
"Blow in your baby's face (so they hold their breath) and then throw them in the water. They already know how to swim." -- Tree R.
Umm... not sure what to even say to this.

On Newborns

I don't think I can ever do this. Newborns cry when they need something - food, comfort, help, etc. It is the only way they can communicate.

"Never discipline your kids. They will learn right from wrong on their own. My response, 'Yeah, no.'" - Linda B.
Personally, I think little kids are tiny sociopaths. They need to be taught right from wrong, good from bad, and how to interact in society.

Make them sit still until you get your tasks done." - Sarah B
Kids are meant to be active. It's in their nature, that is how they learn about life. To try to force children to be still is a uphill battle, and in the end one that you will lose every time.
