Downtown Movie Night returns this weekend with a “Despicable Me” double feature. Friday night, come see “Despicable Me” and Saturday, come see “Despicable Me 2.”

The movies will be shown in the parking lot across from the Cactus Hotel. Movies begin approximately 9 pm and are free and open to the public. Come early and enjoy a couple of classic cartoons before the feature film. They will have concessions available at reasonable prices, and they also accept donations.

In the event of bad weather, it will be decided by Friday night 8 pm whether to have the movie. Bookmark or favorite this page for updates.

    In the sequel, Steve Carell reprises his role as super-criminal Gru, turned into super-dad. He gets recruited by Lucy (Kristen Wiig) and the Anti-Villain League to stop a presumed dead super-villain (Benjamin Bratt). Meanwhile, Gru balances the mission with the love for his children and rescuing his minions.
