Internet Petitions are Hoping to Save Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza
Yesterday, news came out that Taco Bell will be cutting five items from their menu later this year. People are not happy.
One of the items to be cut from the menu is the Mexican Pizza. Taco Bell claims that they're cutting the item to stay in-line with their "environmental concerns." According to reports, the packaging for the Mexican Pizza uses over 7 million pounds of paperboard material per year.
So, why can't they just change the packaging? If Elon Musk can launch a car at Mars, surely we can find a way to keep the Mexican Pizza.
Other items include pico and shredded chicken items. Yes, that does include the shredded chicken quesadilla melt.
Taco Bell, have you lost your damn mind? I didn't care about the pizza, but now you're taking away my favorite "I've been drinking and I'm ready to make bad life choices" meal?
There is already a Change.org petition going to save the Mexican Pizza. There's a goal of 25,000 signatures, and at this moment they already have almost 17,000. Here's a link to the petition to save the Mexican Pizza.
Don't worry though, they're going to be replacing those items. You might want to sit down for this. Taco Bell will be releasing a "Dragonfruit Freeze" to make up for one of the items. There's also a chicken chipotle melt. Oh, and green sauce in some places.
I don't think any of those things can replace what we've lost. Oh, the inhumanity!!
