Pecos & The Rooftops Play Cooper’s BBQ Live Saturday
Pecos & the Rooftops are a band based out of Lubbock, Texas but you could also refer to them as a band of brothers because they are close friends who actually built that bond while in college at Texas Tech. The band's members are Pecos Hurley (Vocals/Acoustic Guitar), Brandon Jones (Rhythm Guitar), Zack Foster (Lead Guitar), Kalen Davis (Bass), and Kade Trentham (Drums).
Their latest E.P. “Red Eye” ;was released back in January of 2020 before the Covid-19 pandemic hit. Bad timing but an awesome recording. Even with the pandemic the band has been coming on very strong in popularity on the Texas/Red Dirt music scene!
Their first single from "Red Eye" is called "This Damn Song" and has garnered millions of streams since being released in April of last year.
Their songs cover all of the bases from Heartbreak to Rockin' out with a lot of attitude in having lived their music. All of the band members are Texas-born, they all drink Keystone and are dedicated to having successful careers with their music. Their musical influences range from George Strait to Koe Wetzel, The Turnpike Troubadours, Flatland Cavalry and others.
Their single "This Damn Song" was co-written by lead singer Pecos Hurley and band member Kalen Davis. Both of them went through their own heartbreak and those two elements merged into this song. Check it out below:
Now that Texas and other States are opening up, the band is booking more and more dates to hit the road as they love to do and fill up a tour schedule which looks like this so far.
