Wanted Suspect Captured after Foot Chase in North San Angelo
Just after 3:00 p.m. yesterday, San Angelo Police responded to a residence in the 700 block of Velma Street for the report of an unknown problem.
Officers were previously aware that 37-year-old James Carl Brown resided at the residence. While enroute to the call, Dispatch advised Brown had outstanding warrants.
Once on scene, Officers observed Brown attempt to walk inside the residence. Brown was ordered to stop; however, Brown did not comply and broke into a run through the house towards Velma Street. Officers pursued Brown but lost sight of him at an alley near 18th and Poe Streets.
Additional Officers converged on the area and a perimeter was quickly established. Brown was located hiding inside a residence in the 1300 block of 18th Street and was taken into custody without further incident.
In addition to the warrants, Brown was charged with Evading Arrest Detention and was transported to the Tom Green County Jail.
